Er. Shital Dhakal is a result-driven Tech leader with deep geospatial domain expertise. He has a successful track record of managing early-stage programs/products, product launches (0 to 1), formulating strategies, and driving growth. In his current role at Amazon Web Services (AWS), he is leading the Go-To-Market (GTM), Product strategy, and Marketing effort for highly ambitious SageMaker’s new Geospatial ML capabilities. SageMaker is Amazon’s fastest-growing ML service which serves over 100,000 customers worldwide.

He is a certified GIS Professional (GISP) with extensive experience in Esri’s Enterprise ArcGIS stack. He has a decade-long research and industry experience in reputed private firms, academia, and governments in Asia, Europe, and North America. He holds a Master’s of Science degree from Boise State University, Idaho. He went to the University of Nice Sophia Antipolis in France as an Erasmus Mundus Fellow, and Kathmandu University, Nepal for his bachelor’s degree in Geomatics Engineering.
